Susan's painting journey commenced at the age of 45 when her husband brought home a bag of painting supplies. A lifelong doodler, she embraced this unexpected gift and embarked on a profound artistic expedition. As entrepreneur and owner of Blacklocks Hair Salon in Laramie, Susan's artistic soul bloomed as she hung her paintings in her salon and they all sold- she realized she had a calling.

Her journey, much like her artwork, and our lives is a tapestry of layers – an intricate composition of experience, growth, and the quest for perfection. The flower painting in this auction is a culmination of layers. Beneath its surface lie the vestiges of 4 to 5 distinct paintings, each a chapter in her creative evolution. A devoted supporter of Hospice, Susan has dedicated time to volunteering at the Casper Hospice for over 2 and a half years.
